Growing up with a family in the Deli business exposed me to a world of tastes, smells, stories, and experiences I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Years later after graduating college and realizing the re…
Wow. Was worried about what I would get for the price and was not disappointed. This is pretty on par with Katz's pastrami. Perfectly cooked, decent portion, tender. Tuna melt, pastrami hash excellent as well. Cole slaw and potato salad good, fries were fine but the pastrami is next level.

Papa Sandwich it's expensive but delicious. If you order delivery I would opt for a regular pastrami with coleslaw for the side and the pickle.
The pastrami is perfect. It's mildly salty and it's sliced very nicely. The problem with the Papa sandwich for delivery is that the bread that is in contact with coleslaw side is soggy. The Swiss cheese perhaps should be placed between the bread and the coleslaw to protect the bread. As it is, you can't taste the cheese at all. It's masked by the rest of the ingredients. You might as well keep it out and save 120 calories:-)
The coleslaw and pickle are great! Pickle is firm, not too salty really great. My delivery included 1/2 a pickle. I think that for a $30 sandwich a whole pickle should be present; 1/2 per side. Overall a treat.

Daughter's Deli keeps alive food in the tradition of Los Angeles' most storied delicatessens. My personal favorite is the Turkey Papa. In addition to great food, the people who work at this family-owned, family-run business are kind, conscientious, and go the extra mile to make their customers happy. If you're craving the classics, and don't want to go West Lake Park, try Daughter's Deli.

The two sandwiches were very good, solid. But to pay $29 for 1 Papa Sandwich (basically a Reuben) was obscene. It was good but how much is a pastrami sandwich worth?
The Egg Salad Sandwich solid, okay but again, we had 2 sandwiches (no sides, no drinks) and the tab before delivery fee was $60. With tip and delivery, total was $68. The value is just not there when can order full meals, kebabs, sushi, delicious Chinese for much less and full meal. (Not 2 sandwiches)!
In a pinch, go for it. Otherwise, unless pastrami is grass fed, organic and flown in daily from
Pastrami heaven, skip it!

The Pastrami Hash had WAY more potatoes than pastrami, which was disappointing. The additional eggs were over cooked. This was the second time I ordered the Broccoli Cheddar Soup and it was half the size. Another disappointment, especially for the price. Daughter's seems like the type of restaurant that should be visited and not delivered.
