Bummed out
For our last meal in California, this one wasn’t a favorite. On the upside the food arrived hot and nicely packaged. The fries and accompanying aioli were very good. The tomato soup was good but didn’t take like tomato basil soup it was also slightly spicier than I make at home. But that was ok. The bread was good as was the puff pastry that accompanied the chicken pot pie. The chicken pot pie filling was packed separately which is perfect but it tasted sour. The same goes for the Mac n cheese. I know the Mac n cheese was truffled which I was looking forward to. One of my favorite flavors. This just seemed a bit off. Almost like sour cream but more toward unpleasant. I couldn’t put my finger on it. maybe just an off night for the restaurant as they have great reviews!
