This food is the most similar I could find in the DC area to the Mexican food I ate growing up near Chicago. Mexican masa for tamales is firm, not soggy. And this restaurant makes good masa. Tamales was

Torta, better bread or toast it. A little more meat to balance the bread ratio, but I would've been happy if the bread was toasted. Gordita, chicken and al pastor were too salty. Corn, felt like it was missing butter and I would ask for the cotija on the side. Churros were AMAZING. Also the size of the Coke and cranberry juice, 10 ounces not worth the price.

The amount of food you get for the price is great. The Beef Birria Quesadilla could feed 2. The consomme that came with the quesadilla was great. The Gorditas Al Pastor and nachos were also excellent. We will definitely order again.

Love this place, had a good friend show us this place and my gf and I love it here. The carne asada fries are top notch! Place makes the food on the spot so you may have to wait a bit and it does get packed on weekends!
