The place, and the original owner is still there. I remember going to this location on route 14 (Virginia Rd.) back when Crystal Lake South High allowed off campus lunch. The hot dog special was the go to item. They still got it going on since the 80s. Great food, good portions, awesome prices. Iconic business of Crystal Lake.

 For the hotdog when I order it it says substitute grilled onions for raw. This means I should be getting raw onions only. Not only did I not get raw onions only I got grilled onions and a tiny bit of raw onion anyway. I don't know how to order this to just get raw onion. The sautéed onion pretty much takes over the whole hotdog and that is not a traditional Chicago style hot dog anyway and more likely to go on a Polish or maybe Italian sausage so I don't understand it. I'm glad I ordered two pizza puffs which are very good. Through the hot dog out there was no saving it.

I spent $125.00 on an order and Tommy's forgot to include my order of Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. With an order of that size, you'd think they would put more care into making sure it was a complete order.

I was very pleased with the Gyros Sandwich. I bought a Slice of Supersize 18” Pizza just in case, but I only took a bite of it and ate the whole Gyros Sandwich instead.

Philly Steak with Fries & Drink is basically an Italian Beef with mushrooms... and its still good so you should go ahead and get it
