the grape leaves were a mess.. falling apart.i ordered a chicken skewer kabob..the pickled radish and Pickles weren't packed. La Saj isn't cheap, or new. these issues are failures with how long they have been in business. I ordered a few months ago and had similar issues with a fattoush salad...it was packed with bad tomatoes and almost half of my salad was pita chips (over kill).

Everything was great, the chicken shawarma the best in the area, along with all the sides we got. The pita was not as soft and warm as we would have liked, but still fine, especially with all the sides and sauces we got. An absolutely excellent meal, tried many different things. Will be back again and again. Finest Mediterranean food in Troy and surrounding areas. Tahini sauce could have been a little thicker and more of it. But still a fabulous feast (and we got a lot of different things, so as to be able to have plenty of leftovers). As an aside the reheated chicken shawarma was better than we would have thought, tasted almost the same as the first day.

Best MiddleEastern food in the Troy area. The fresh, oven baked bread is to die for! My Leeanese son says the grape leaves are the best he has ever had.

I was sadly disappointed in the food. The chicken lemon oregano did not appear to have been skewered and was dry, despite the generous amount of sauce. The fattoush salads (for which I paid an additional $1 per order x 4) were ridiculously minuscule! I didn't care for their fattoush dressing, too greasy and an off-putting orangish color. The side of cooked vegetables consisted of 3 large slices of largely uncooked carrots and one large mushroom. The "hot bread" - again which I paid extra for two additional orders- , was not the steaming hot bread that easily cracks open that I have come to expect from Middle-eastern restaurants in this area. They were cold and pre-bagged in plastic bags, and hard. Sadly, I will not order from here again and would not recommend it to anyone.. However, the hummus was tasty.
