My placed an order from imperial palace as part of a care package to a sick/ailing household as it was the nearest restaurant with the quickest delivery time. I asked that the rice be cooked adequately for a dish that is listed for $13.5 on their Doordash menu. Based on my request under the comment section asking for the rice to be cooked thoroughly, I received a notification that I’ll be charged an additional $5.44?!?! I call restaurant to ask why and to demand they honor the pricing listed on their menu and the manager yells at me, tells me I need to accept the additional charge, refuses to cancel the order and hangs up on me.
This is bait and switch, despicable behavior and unsound business practice that isn’t limited to clientele.. turns out they also exploit their employees. I won’t be ordering from here again - if their ethics/boundaries are so loose I can’t trust them to provide quality product. Who knows what subpar ingredients go into what they prepare and sell.

Mushy pork and house chow main good. Both Frog & Peanut Porridge and Seafood Porridge I put in refrig for next day - it spoiled. Restaurant forgot to send the Sticky Rice & Chicken in Lotus Leaf Wrap
