Oaxaca to San Francisco Owner and Chef Isai Cuevas is a native of Zimatlan, Oaxaca Mexico. Donaji's Menu is Maiz
( Corn) Forward. Crowd favorites are Mole, Tlayudas and Tacos.
The mole tastes just like the mole from top restaurants in Oaxaca. I loved the thin but strong chips, therefore, the totopos are a must order. the memelita has a great aroma and the pickled veggies that come with it are quietly delicious

We have eaten in several times and loved it so we were so excited to see it was on Door Dash. We ordered the tacos birria and tamales and they were delicious as always! Really the tacos birria is one of the best and they are generous on the meat and dipping sauce. Absolutely nothing I would change!

We got maybe 8 chips with our guacamole. Portion for everything was relatively small so the price was not worth it imo. Especially when compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area.

The tamales--pork and the poblano/cheese option--were fantastic. Pork: greesy but you'll want to take each bite with hot sauce and the pickled cabbage. The paper wrapper alone had that tell-tale greasiness but it wasn't damaging at all---in fact? The right amount of fat needed to blister through a hangover. It's a highly recommend.
Pozole was ok. Ha! Kidding. It wasn't over the moon either. But decent.
The rojo (red) broth: Medicinal, but the white meat chicken a little dry----hey. It's white chicken meat. It's also clean and organic. So if you like that stringent feel, then this is your jam. Otherwise you'll be wondering why they didn't have a dark meat option.
Guacamole: brilliant, deep, fresh, clean and pristine it's laden with picked red onions so be weary of that. But, it's a straight up guaca that can be used in condiments or an afternoon avocado toast if you're frugal.

The Egg & Chorizo Oaxaca Burrito was fantastic! Was a pleasant super to find that the burrito was made using a homemade corn tortilla.
