Fabulous! This was a DoorDash order and I had never tried L'Ardente before. I got the Cesare and the zucca. The Cesare was mostly a Cesar salad but the lemon was more present. It has mint breadcrumbs instead of croutons and an anchovy dressing. It was SO good and interesting and fresh! The zucca was perfection. Nothing swimming in oil or sauce. Just a sausage ragu that was mostly sausage. The seasoning had some bite to it but it was perfectly balanced. And the right amount of meat to pasta, neither one outpacing the other. It's a bit expensive but I'm looking forward to eating there in person now. So many Italian restaurants pale in comparison.

The carbonara is LEGIT. None of that melts stringy cheese. Rigatoni is actually al dente. Small but rich. Pecorino aroma burst through the box. This is definitely a 10/10 spot and I will be ordering from here again.

The Lasagna was just okay and the pasta was crispy edges which was not a fan.
The shrimp appetizer was excellent which is theonly reason I am giving2 stars. The grilled octo was under cooked and the seafood pasta was served in an appetizer size for $38. Shameful

Have found delivery from here tolerable, but has gone more and more downhill. The caesar salad I received today was covered in so much dressing that it was soupy--a large puddle collected at the bottom. There were no breadcrumbs at all. The pasta was crammed into a tiny container and extremely greasy, yet somehow still completely stuck to itself. This is my last order from here.

This might honest to god be the best italian food in DC. The lasagna was seasoned perfectly, the Polpette was flavorful, and the pizzas use excellent ingredients and taste fantastic. I'm so pleased to find this place for takeout, can't wait to have a dinner here in-person.
