Born in 1936, Monkey Bar is the heartbeat of Midtown dining with its timeless fare and iconic vibe.
The King Crab Rangoon was so gamey and pungent that I threw it out fearing food safety. The Wagyu Cheeseburger was the single, blandest burger I've ever eaten in my life. The Pomme Frites almost seemed to have been bought pre fried and frozen - they were too thick, not well fried, and so salty that my lips were burning halfway through. The Carrot Cake was better, but nothing at all special - just a generic sugar overload carried by a decent cream cheese frosting.
And despite this meal being so horrible, it was twice the price of any actually good restaurant.
Do not order from here - this place is absolutely ripping you off.

The entire meal traveled well and was FANTASTIC! The Truffle Monkey Bread has to be the best bread that we've ever had!! It is that good! The Prime Beef French Dip and Double Cheeseburger were flavorful and delish! Enjoyed the Carrot Cake and Crispy Potato Pancake, as well! Great experience!

I was so excited to try their French Dip sandwich as it's one of my favorite sandwiches and this place is always highly recommended. When I got home and dug in, I was devastated to see that they only provided about a tablespoon of au jus for the whole sandwich. For a $50 sandwich, I was quite disappointed in the lack of attention to detail.
