Everything I orderd was good. Ribs have great flavor and are very tender. Gizzards are fried hard and seasoned well. The catfish nuggets are fresh and also fried good. I also appreciate great customer service even on an online order. This is my first time trying this place but I will be returning.

Me and my husband got the catfish dinner plates and they were AMAZING! I'm from the south and it tasted just like home had came straight to Cali, portion sizes are great, the food is so tasty and definitely fresh, hot and ready! We WILL be ordering from here again!!!

Everything was fresh and hot and good. The yams are not candied but they also only say "yams" on the menu not "candied yams" so that's my bad. But everything was good overall. Especially the black eyed peas in my opinion. All you need is some hot sauce for the chicken/fish, salt & pepper for the mac n cheese, and maybe some brown sugar & butter for your yams if you like that and you straight. The cherry pineapple juice is cool I like my koolaid with a lil more diabetes tho. Cornbread was hot and soft and subtly sweet. Fried Red Snapper was hot and crispy. They package everything to the T. So the bag was definitely secured & so were the drinks. No problems with my order nothing missing. All good.

Ordered a mix plate. Catfish nuggets/pork neck bones with Collard greens (pork) and black eyed peas. I just wanna say, my first bite of the catfish nuggets took me to a different dimension. I took a bite, stood up, grabbed my phone , and took a picture because I didn't want to forget it! It's been over 10 years since I first bought catfish here and it still tastes as good as I remember. The pork neck bones were really good, especiwith the hot sauce. They're messy, but if you're ordering neck bones, you already know. The collard greens were good! Still firm but the stems were chopped small. Caught a few stray bay leaves but it was ok. First time ever having black eyed peas. Not a fan, but I don't think it's their fault. Otherwise, I'll come back for rib tips!

Overall the portion of the fried Catfish and Fried Chicken was pretty good. Mind you I'm from NC and just wanted a taste from home but this place didn't quite hit the spot. The Fried Chicken was fried well and hot and crispy. But the sides, baby y'all need to change y'all's noodles. It just tastes like I was eating boiled flat noodles with little to no cheese. The collards need to be seasoned more and cooked down a bit. The Tropical Punch drink was amazing tho. Overall if you're not from the south and want some quick soul food by all means try it. But I would say I wouldn't order again from here unless it's the chicken and fish alone.
