• 23-10-16Delicious bbq! The barbacoa beef is delicious, the meats have great smoke flavour and the ribs were nice and tender. I really like the use of cornmeal in the fried chicken coating and I loved the homemade cornbread with corn niblets and jalapeños! We will be eating here many more times in The future! Well done!

• 26-08-05i recommend this spot but only for certain items. the Smoked Bite-Sized Riblettes are amazing and are the main thing bringing me back. The mac and cheese is also great but the portion for the side mac is so small for the price.
The main issue with this place is the portions for the price. The Broke Bad Beef Burger is an average good tasting burger but its $20 for such a small portion. The fried chicken is also $11 for one piece + its mostly breading and barely any meat.
Theres not a lot of bbq in Van so i still appreciate this place.
tl;dr just get the ribs, riblettes and mac and cheese. be aware of small portions for a bigger price

• 26-04-05Pork Ribs were tender, smoky with a nice char. Fall off the bone. Good value for portion size. It's obvious they're smoked in house. I only wish I had a bit more bbq sauce on the side (there was no option to add extra sauce). The corn bread with maple butter was SO good. I wish I had a whole pan of it. Skip the corn ribs and coleslaw. Delicious overall.

• 23-12-16Honestly blew my expectation out of the water. The chicken wings taste like real chicken how you'd expect it to taste like, the corn was really good. All the ingredients tasted fresh. A bit pricey to be honest but as far as the quality goes it's really good

• 26-07-03Extremely disappointed! I ordered the pork ribs and all I received were the ultra fatty, cartilage ends. They had been in the cooker so long that they were actually hard and not edible. I didn't have one actual pork rib in site! To order pork ribs and receive the cheap end cut for$30 is extremely overpriced. just 2 end cuts- a slab of gross fat and cartilage. pretty disgusting!
