I was looking for shrimp and grits and found The Blue Room. I obsessed for 24 hours then ordered dinner for my parents, too. I couldn’t bring myself to plate the food first for pretty pictures after smelling it. We all tried everything and there was not a bad bite to be had. Now I just want to eat my way through the menu. The Southern Fried Chicken was a delight, the mac and cheese and Bayou Shrimp and Grits were a smokey delight. Dad loved the Southern Chopped Kale Salad, and I could eat the brussel sprouts with every meal. Definitely adding this place to my favorites list!

Blacken Salmon Benedict salmon was blackened. It was moist BUT a bit small. Hollandaise was not good. Too thin and runny and too strongly tasted of (lemon?) Included a tiny dry crumbly unpleasant biscuit instead of the promised english muffin. YUCK!
Side of 5 piece Fried Chicken tasty and tender, cooked just right. HOWEVER the 5 pieces I got consisted of SMALL half-wing pieces (three drumettes and two flats) for $2 a piece!
Grits really good! Very buttery and lightly salted, just right! The highlight of an otherwise DREADFUL MEAL.

I had the Honey Cajun Wings the flavor was good and sweet , the Smoked Macaroni and Cheese was made with penne pasta shells and honestly wasnt my favorite , the Collard Green with Smoked Turkey I wanted to like but they were so salty I could barley eat them and I was looking so forward to them , overall the food was okay I would give the place a second try !

My geens was can . My mac and cheese was dry . It wasn't mac and cheese it's more of a pasta thats not baked with mushy pasta shell and no cheese my sweet potatoe was mushy and dark almost black with to much allspice. The fried chcken and fried catfish was good though. The oxtaii dumplings tasted like liquid smoke. I spent over a hundred dollars and gave a tip . The food was disgusting. I will not be returning.
