• 25-05-06Haroset ice cream was everything described and more. Creamy, uniquely flavored, and chocked full of shredded apples, toasted walnuts, dried dates, cranberries. However, the Thanksgiving Special was a big disappointment. The sweet potato ice cream was unimpressive and not very creamy. I would think the toasted marshmallows that are mixed in would make it creamy because there wasn't a singled toasted marshmallow in the entire $11.95 pint! The only marshmallows I got were the three pictures in their ad...sigh...Salt and Straw did a non-dairy sweet potato ice cream last autumn/winter that was creamy and had my family raving at Christmas. So to have a diary sweet potato ice cream fail to meet or exceed the bar set by a non-dairy ice cream, which are often less cream is surprising to say the least.
