Good food, the teriyaki beef bento box was good with nice big portions. Snowball and playboy were delicious. Miso soup was delivered hot just the way I like it. I love the salmon skin roll nice and crispy with good flavor. It's nothing fancy but sure does fulfill my sushi craving.

The gyoza has changed and for the worse. It's so gross now and they increased the price so it simply is not worth it. Sushi ya used to be my go to spot but with the price increases and quality going down I don't know if I will continue to go. I am super bummed about it because I've been a customer for ten years but it just isn't the same anymore. The sushi did not taste fresh at all, the rice especially.

I just moved to Boise and ordered take-out. And, I couldn’t have been more a disappointed. We have a sesame seed allergy and noted that for each item ordered; the tempura sauce was covered with sesame seeds.
I ordered the combo tempura appetizer and the veggies were 4 shrimp, 2 piece of carrot, 1 piece of zucchini and 4 pieces of russet potatoes. The batter was different for the shrimp and veggies. See pic of all leftover batter we didn’t eat since it was so thick. You can also see how thick the batter is around the carrot and zucchini.
We ordered a roll that was supposed to have salmon, avocado and cream cheese. See pic. There is a tiny dot of avocado if you look closely. It was mostly rice and we barely got half down.
The sashimi was fine and so was the edamame. I wouldn’t order rolls or tempura here again.

While the food is fresh, the portions for the sushi was pathetic. I order salmon, eel and tuna sushi. The portion of fish to rice wasn't appropriate. The fish was tiny compared to the rice. This was my second time ordering. This first time was also lacking but I thought I'd try again. Will not order again.

Rocky Mountain (middle roll) is pretty good, but the Two Color is a favorite. I get mine with no Tobiko and they added more avocado to that side. So freaking nice of them! I didnt even have to ask.
