We feel that restaurants are at their best when they concentrate their efforts on cuisine and service quality. These activities, whether in the kitchen preparing meals or greeting clients at the front…
The chicken tikka is always so delicious here and it came with three different chutneys to compliment the tender flavorful chicken. Also included were basmati rice, sautéed onions and peppers. They honored my request and left out the lettuce. Everything is good here and for vegans I would recommend the masala dosas. They give you two for the price of one. As well as coconut chutney and nutritious sambhar soup

This is my "go to" South Asian restaurant although there are lots of good ones to choose from in the Boston area. The masala dosas are a South Indian vegan classic loaded with complete protein. It is even more nutritious if you include the sambar soup and coconut chutney.
India Pavillion also has so many delicious chicken and lamb dishes as well, such as chicken tikka and chicken currry. Lamb Rogan Josh is a favorite. And of course they do saag paneer well. They have three desserts to choose from and I would recommend the carrot halawa for a change. The food is always fresh and tastes homemade. Nothing out of a bag or a can.

I've tried almost every Indian place in the central area and this is by far the best, great amount of food for the price too!

I have done my best to try as many Indian restaurants in the Boston metro area as I can. Unfortunately, India pavilion seems to be one of the worst.
The tarka dal was watery, flavorless and seemed like it was reheated. The samosas were burnt, dried out inside, and seemed stale. And gain an odd, unexpected flavor.
But the garlic naan was the worst of all. The fresh garlic that is normally on top was burnt, and the green herbs were brown. Worst of all it had an offputting aroma, almost sour. This carried over into a very sour and stale taste, unlike any naan I've tasted.
I'm not some Indian cuisine novice either. It's some of my favorite cuisine and I've eaten it often throughout my life. Trust me when I say there are far, far better choices in the city.
Do yourself a favor and go to Vaisakhi or Harvest of India or Maharaja or Spice Delight or Shanti.
Do better, India Pavilion. And stop selling old food.

Great Indian food from a Central Square institution! I have been going here for years.
Shrimp Jalfrezi and Chicken Tikka Masala are amazing.
