The Firfir is absolutely delicious! The spice is nice. The pepper pieces are a fresh, nicely textured addition. The injera through is divine. Service is great. I will try to patronize whenever I am in DC.

Door Wot was $22 bucks for 1 piece of chicken and egg.
The Veggie Combo presentation sucks. They forgot my extra set of greens which was $4.50 extra. They gave me Beets when specifically requested No Beets.

I’m Ethiopian and have tried other Ethiopian restaurants in DC like Chercher. The portion here was really small, very expensive, and the taste was just okay. I was very disappointed. I ordered lamb tibs, but they gave me some kind of stew instead.

The Firfir is a bit too dry for my liking but if that's the kind of firfir you like, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The Mushroom Tibs was my favorite of the ones I ordered. The taste and aromatics was rich and inviting. The Spreece Smoothie wasn't spreece, meaning it wasn't layered smoothie when I received it. It just ended up being mango smoothie. Another reason for my 3 star was that the portions for the food items I ordered are a lot smaller than other traditional restaurants that sell larger portions for the same price. However, I'm excited to try other dishes from this place since it also has unique menus than traditional Ethiopian places.

I love Ethiopian food, It was my first time ordering from this restaurant....I was NOT disappointed!!! They gave great portions and the food was EXCELLENT!!!!!!
The egg was a little overcooked......but, ITS AN EGG!
I WILL DEFINITELY FREQUENT THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
