I had a craving the night of 1/16 for something within my neighborhood and not a chain. I found Jawa Sandwich Shop on DoorDash and took a short drive to the shop. I tried the Salmon Panini with Shrimp. The flavors were incredible! The owner, Shawn (sp?), invited me to stay past their closing time and told me the story of the shop. His story punctuated the wait for the sandwich. He offered samples of his Pastrami Queens brisket that melted in my mouth. But trying the very favorably reviewed Salmon Panini with Shrimp confirmed - I will be back.

Jawa was so good, I ordered two days in a row. I came upon it by accident as it is on a strip that is tucked away and invisible from Richmond Hwy. The shrimp panini was delicious and the fries were surprisingly really good. I had to type "Jawa" in the search bar on DD because it is not listed in recs. I ordered half basil chicken with house chips and the chips are to die for. Perfect salt n vinegar seasoning option. The sandwich was good too. And the salad! I got it with grilled shrimp. So good! My only complaint is that I didn't learn about this place much sooner. Jawa! Where ya been all my life? It's among the best sandwich places in the area. Order now! And if you go in person, the service was excellent too. I'm in love. I appreciate the half sandwich options but my belly is asking for whole sizes next time. Delish!

The Modern B.L.T (D) is the best sandwich I've had in a while. Large portions, ton of bacon. I will definitely order this again. Also, sandwich came cut in half and wrapped in wax paper so very easy to eat. A+++

The Salmon Panini (D) was delicious and very filling! I will be ordering it again.
The Old Bay Fries were a bit soggy as expected when you have food delivered but seasoned well.

Loving the Salmon Panini and the shrimp and shrimp and chcken! Flavorful and cooked to perfection! Real!y delicious! Best home made chips ever! The Carrot cake and the apple turnovers are to die for!
