First time "at" Chewk's. Ordering didn't go as well as could be for two reasons. The product in DD isn't up to date (no lemon). Thankfully the vendor called to inquire vs boxing up something random I didn't order or want. Unfortunately, I received the Box of 6 Cookies Customized , but not the main item, The Crookie. It's what Cheek's is famous for, The Crookie! The dashers photo shows this too. The box was not sealed and DD asked this precise question. We as customers have no control over the vendors' packaging. I'm not sure if DD dinged me for this, but it adds up like it. As the refund issued doesn't cover the full portion of what wasn't received. I did try calling the vendor first however it went to voicemail. Google showed them open, yet hours of operation showed closed at 8pm.
The cookies are very fresh as though baked today just not warm. The cookies have a slight crunchy outside. Whereas the inside is very soft, melt in your mouth. The taste of the Snickerdoodle and Funfetti were spot on. It's the chocolate chip chunk cookie that was off due to minor leeching of something off putting. Like when you refrigerate or freeze something not sealed and it picks up another flavor(s). Otherwise the cookies taste and feel great!
