I love this place! Very close in quality to the izakayas I've been to in Tokyo. I loved the 20.Tonkotsu Ramen, the broth is hearty but light and the taste of the pork really comes through in the noodles. The saltiness and umami the nori provides was also nice. The egg was gooey perfection. I also had the 105. Fresh Mango Smoothie and that was really good too! A standard delicious fruit smoothie. The 2. Karaage (Fried Chicken) is awesome, highly recommend. The sauce is slightly spicy and I loved it. The only low point was the 5. Takoyaki, which was a little cold and chewy. I'm sure it's delicious hot, so not much fault there! Overall this place makes great food, and would order again.

Blindsided how good it was. Kinda expecting just run of the mill Japanese, but the ramen and especially karage, wow. Karage is incredible, it's not just a chicken nugget like many places cheap out on. Ramen had great flavor and a lot of meat. Try it out

2. Karaage (Fried Chicken) is somef the best fried chcken in town, period. 6 large pieces is a good portion for the price as well. 14.. Gyudon (Beef Over Rice) is flavorful and enough for two meals, but the beef is gristly and fatty as usual, but otherwise enough of a value that I consider it just about worth the price.

The food is usually great and I'm a repeat orderer. The 21.Sapporo Spicy Miso Ramen has a variety of textures and flavors that the everything together. Broth was a bit oily but it's ramen so normal. My favorite was the 5. Takoyaki ... just perfect. 105. Fresh Mango Smoothie was a bit sweet but that was my fault for not knowing it had added sugar.

The 1. Gyoza (6) was stuffed only with bland veggie mix including,strangely, corn. They were small and uninteresting and perhaps the worst gyoza I've eve had in Madison. I say that up front, because everything else was spectacular. The 18. Hibachi Fried Rice (Beef) wasleagues above the usual frozen dog water served at cheap Chinese food joints, and the 14.. Gyudon (Beef Over Rice) was moist and the beef was tender and flavorful especially with added Chili Oil. An order of i35. Negi (Leek) perfectly complemented the broth of the 21.Sapporo Spicy Miso Ramen and is a good addition tovthat dish. The 6. Tsukemono were crisp and refreshing between bites of rich 5. Takoyaki and the overall meal was a complete and satisfying experience. Will definitely return again.
