The gumbo was absolutely delicious. I've been to NOLA almost every year for the last 15 (Jazz Fest!) and the gumbo compares favorably with the best. Had fried chicken, greens cornbread and mashed potatoes; all excellent. But don't sleep on the gumbo!
Portions were generous. Everything was well packaged.

The food was still hot when I recieved it. The Kentucky Nuggets were juicy and the dipping sauce was perfect. The burger was cooked perfectly and the cajun fries were so delicious. I haven't had a Key Lime Pie taste more authentic anywhere in Milwaukee! I will definitely order from Maxies again!

The Shrimp & Grits was excellent. The Kentucky Nuggets were excellent and the BOWL Crab & Corn Chowder was also excellent. This is my go to spot when I don't want to be disappointed.
