I'm from Louisiana originally, and this is by far the best southern food in Nor Cal! The rice & gravy and peach cobbler were just like my grandma!!! And even had Kool-Aid.

I dislike the fried chicken thighs as pieces were pretty small & hard today. Sides were ok. I normally get a much better experience with Cherie's & this order but idk what happened here... 3out of 10. And for $20+... smh. I would hope my Wife's Gumbo tastes better when she gets to her meal.

The chicken was amazing. A lot of the time fried chicken can be greasy but this chicken wasn't at all. Very crispy great flavor. My children loved the yams and baked beans. The Mac and cheese lacked a little flavor but I think would taste better fresh at the restaurant. I've never had rice and gravy it tasted good but too salty for me. Probably because I was eating it with the chicken. The chicken pieces are large and have lots of meat on them. Everything tasted very fresh. I hope this places stays around.

My food was delicious! I had the Fried Catfish Plate and the fish was fries to perfection and was very flavorful! The greens were tender and the Mac and cheese was seasoned to perfection! It's a bit on the pricey side but worth it!
