• 23-11-25The food here tastes great however, I ordered the chicken Butter Masala and only got 8 pieces of chicken for $20, I wish they would add more given the price that they charge. The Vegtable Samosae and Garlic Naan are also good.

• 23-09-07This was my first time trying Indian food in general and I was not disappointed. Everything was great. I ordered the cauliflower Gobi Manchurian and it had really great flavor. It has a dark red color so I was concerned that it might be too spicy but it was surprisingly not. It had great texture and the flavors both complimented and yet masked the fact that I was eating cauliflower. I also ordered the Creamy Chicken Soup. It could have possibly been priced a bit lower but it was a fair amount of soup for the price. The soup was flavorful with veggies like cauliflower and green beans and I believe carrots as well as chicken chunks. For the flavors, I think I tasted a hint of coconut and curry and bit of ginger but none of them were overpowering and blended well together to make it a nice creamy soup.
The Butter Masala was amazing. I ordered it at a level 2 for spicy which was perfect for what I wanted. It just left a kiss of a tingle on my tongue and wasn't at all overwhelming. I do enjoy a bit more spice though so next time I might kick it up to a 3. However, If you don't like any spice, I'd stick with a 1. The Butter Masala was flavorful and the chicken was easy to cut with a fork or spoon since it was so tender. Flavor wise is hard to describe. I went back and forth between eating it with a bite of the rice that came with it, to eating it on a piece of Garlic Naan and I loved every single bite. The Garlic Naan was amazing as well just on its own. Now that I've tried Haldi, I have a feeling I'll be ordering it quite often in the future. This was definitely a great first experience.

• 25-12-05Chicken tikka masala was bland. Vegetable Samosas were tasty, Garlic Naan were ok. “Wraps n’ Curry” in Phoenix (W. Bell Rd) is still my favorite place and I drive about 40 minutes out of my way for their chicken tikka masala.

• 24-09-15We ordered 1 Chicken Tikka Masala mild and 1 Chicken Tikka Masala med-hot. Very disappointed in both. I have never had Chicken Tik a Masala with chunks of bell peppers and onion in it. Also, the chicken was not truly grilled before being added to the sauce and the pieces of chicken were huge and dry. The Med Hot order was clearly the same batch as the mild, someone just put a blob of spicy green paste in and half mixed it up. Overall, it didnt taste like authentic tikka massala. Maybe they served us the wrong dish? The Naan was very flat, limp, wet and lacked the typical Tandori oven naan expectation. There are not many options for Indian food in the West side but, if Haldi were in a city with lots of Indian options, they would not make it.
