Gina's Mexican Cafe is a family-run, locally owned and operated restaurant that opened in 1986. Gina's serves delicious Mexican food in the heart of Nanaimo's downtown district.
My family and I ordered Gina's for the very first time today. This is hands down the best Mexican food in town. Everything came hot and even early! We ordered the Navajo and it come with a little bit of everything. We also ordered the Churros with the salted caramel dip it was so sweet and crunchy so very good. We cant wait to order again the flavours were just incredible, good price and large proportions! Thank you for the best food!!

Good food overall but the side of sour cream was extra small - maybe a tablespoon worth. The guacamole that I paid extra for is super spicy hot! I had some guacamole on one chip and I don't think I can eat anymore. There should be an offering of whether you want it hot or mild. I also thought the churro was disappointing with it being one churroand you are forced to purchase a sauce for the churro, which makes it 650 for one churro. That seems a little pricey.

This place is definitely better if you dine in.
They use paper containers and my burrito and enchiladas were stuck to the container and soaked right in. The rice and corn were also not very fresh.
It might be because they put the food under some heater before it goes out?

flavorless old dry food slapped on a paper plate. so disappointed. got the most ordered Navajo plate.picture shows 2 Churros got one piece. It was dry but atleast warm. nothing to dip it in.

Sorry Ginas but the corn was tuff, the baked beanswere hard and the size of the burr fe small plus the enchilada was all fall apart and it see rea small for what we could find of it. I wont Order takeout again but w definitely come eat at the restaurant as I know your food is delicious. But I was disappointed in the takeout order.
