Basil shrimp with shrimp fried rice is excellent with great flavor profiles. Plenty of shrimp! I typically order extra but as this is my first order, I decidedto see it in its original form. Great decision!

Best flavorful tasty Chinese food in town, comparable only to Han Dynasty. Better than other "typical run-of-the-mill" Asian restaurant.
Only thing I've noticed is increased prices and decreased portion sizes, in the recent years.

Got their most popular item, the General Tso's Chicken special, which comes with rice (fried or white). A very filling and tasty meal for just 10 dollars, and the scallion pancakes are great too, very light and crispy.

Redbowl is my go to chinese food restaurant in Newark, their portions are great for the price range and they are always speedy with my order. Definitely one of the best chinese food restaurants I have frequented!

Red Bowl never misses bro!!! I LIVED at this place back in college and I'm just now having it again after awhile. I know the wontons in the Wonton noodle soup be looking a little crazy in the pic but I'm telling yall theyre so good, they literally melt in your mouth and the soup is light but not flavorless, refreshing and soothing with a hint of cilantro taste and bok choy for texture. The Scallion Pancakes are the perfect mix of flakey and doughy. The Brown Sauce is a smooth and subtle teriyaki flavor that the White Rice absorbs perfectly. The Steamed Dumplings (I know yall be liking fried better but I love doughy food!) are plump and tender and the sauce that comes with the dumplings is sweet and tangy and glazes them perfectly. I love this place and I wouldn't have survived college without them. Big kudos to the staff for putting up with my antics and all the future antics of college kids.
