taco chelo is a collaboration between chef suny santana, artist gennaro garcia and restaurateur aaron chamberlin.
I was pleasantly surprised by how organized and delicious my pick up order was. I wasn't a huge fan of the Barbados and there are many taco options in this area, but after having the carnita taco and the jardin salad this place goes to the top of my list. I will definitely be back! Not to mention, great prices for the quanity and quality of food!

loved the sweet potato taco, highly recommend, will order again. the avocado was a large portion, worth the 3 dollars. the arroz con leche was good, there was a fruity bit in it, kind of nice. the horchata did not arrive. the bean and cheese burrito was smokey and meaty tasting. I called the restaurant and they confirmed they use lard which is not listed under the burrito. don't order the burrito if you are a vegetarian.

Some of the best tacos I've ever had! Carne Asada and Carnitas were both delicious and juicy. Even the salsas and tortillas were amazing

Flamingo is good when they fry it long enough for the cheese inside to melt but that's only about half of the time. Biting into a crispy fried shell with half raw cheese shreds inside is a bummer. Wasn't expecting the quesadilla to be one mini tortilla shell, for $4

Ay díos mio! Seriously though! Holy yummm! I had no idea what I was ordering when I got the Flamingo! This is definitely worth trying and OMG it's a big portion of food if you add meat, easily shareable or something to get two meals out of. You won't regret spending your money here.
I also got the Frijoles a La Charra and Cho
