can't believe I paid 20 dollars for one tiny piece of burnt salmon, one scoop of rice and some greens

I have to say this was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten in a long time.. I ordered maybe six months ago and it was fabulous so I don’t know if there’s a new chef or I don’t know what’s going on but the food was terrible. No taste on the sushi. The chicken udon taste burnt. The dessert was tiny and tasteless. It was a horrible, horrible meal. I’m so disappointed what a waste of money.

Having enjoyed hundreds of bowls of Katsudon across Japan, I have a deep appreciation for the delicate harmony this dish requires. The magic of a great Katsudon lies in the specific contrast: the lingering crunch of the breaded cutlet meeting the silky, fluffy texture of the eggs and the sweetness of simmered onions.
Unfortunately, this experience fell quite short of that standard. The most critical elements—the sauce (dashi) and the generous topping of fluffy eggs and simmered onions—were nearly non-existent. Without enough eggs, sauce and onions to bind the components, the dish felt disjointed. Instead of the rice being seasoned and softened by the savory broth, it felt like eating a dry cutlet on top of dry, plain rice.
For a dish that relies so heavily on the balance of textures and moisture, this was a very disappointing bowl. I hope the kitchen can look into more generous portions of the egg and sauce mixture to bring this back to an authentic standard.
