I won't lie, usually the food is really good even though it can be a hit or miss sometimes. When it's good it's good.. However, This is the second time I ordered the Jollof rice with the fish and the fish is burnt and I mean burnt burnt. They put the gravy over it to mask how burnt it is and the rice taste stale as if it's a day or so old. The rice is also clumping together that's how I know it's not fresh rice. It's not Shelly and it's lacking in flavor this time. Very disappointing. I find it disheartening that I'm spending almost $50 for burnt and day old food. But as I said before, when the food is fresh and good, it's really good. I just wish they would maintain some type of consistency with the flavor and freshness, especially being that it's so expensive. One thing I can say, though you get enough bang for your buck, they give a satisfying amount of rice, in its own container, which is good. I would still recommend them though maybe sometimes they just be having a off day. I would still order again just need them to get it together.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and the Egusi was Incredibly tasty!!! I enjoyed every bit of it! The croaker fish was also really yummy! The pounded Yam was perfect pairing with Egusi and the fried ripe plantains were perfectly sweet and soft! The portions were big as well I ate it twice and was full both times! The only thing I would say that was a little disappointing is that the meats were a tiny bit hard, I got a really big bone of goat that was obstructing me from getting to the little piece of meat and it was too hard to rip out just using my fingers. My piece of tripe was so flavorful and perfect level of spice but also really hard to bite through. It wasn't breaking down so I had to just chew it up and spit it out. Everything was very fresh. Maybe please cook meat a little bit longer in the future.

That was the best Egusi soup i had thus far wow great job. I ordered around 10:30 and was a bit scared that the quality wouldn't be good but it was. The other comment wasn't wrong one of the meats was a bit hard :/ but the other pieces were tender and flavorful. The fufu was soft. I'm Cameroonian so this is the closest I'll get to home since most west african restaurants are nigerian. I'll definitely be ordering from here again and would love to try the food in person.

The okra soup was a little rushed but very tasty As well as the swallow. Everything else wasn't accurate per order but still very tasty good job.
