Best banh mi in the whole city. The bread is fresh and soft. The toppings are plentiful. I ate here almost every day when in university, and I still regularly order from Bake Chef. There simply isn't a better sandwich anywhere to me.

I love the subs here, and the price is so reasonable. I always get the chicken satay. (for spice lovers/haters, unless you choose to add hot peppers, this sub is not spicy at all) The sub sauce, satay and cheese is so delicious. This is now my favourite place for Vietnamese subs.

Best bahn mi in the city. This is the food gem of UofC. Everyone who went to UofC knows of this legendary shop. Prices are so fair and the food is unbelievable. I've never found bahn mi that holds a candle to these guys. Amazing sandwich with fresh, soft bread instead of crunchy baguette. Get this now.

As always, the halal beef subs are amazing, filling and nutritious. I found bakechef in 2019 and despite being away from Canada for two years I couldn't stop thinking about them. Now that I'm back, the Halal Beef bakechef subs are back as a weekly staple.
