WOW! 1ST TIME AND I'LL REPEAT!! The #1 Mangu Platter Dominican Specialty was FIRE. Not pretty, and who cares. The eggs were perfect, two nice big rounds of sizzled sausage, the mound of pounded plantains was so flavorful. #10 Empanadas (3 Per Order) BEST I'VE HAD IN THE AREA, TRUST!! Fat and filled n with flavor. on the menu the Bacon is $1 and says "great value" THAT IS CORRECT...opened the package and there are like 6-7 strips of ultra crispy and thin bacon. GREAT VALUE. the Chicken Caesar Salad was typical. chicken could've been a bit more tender, but still good.Homemade Sweet Plantains were fat and juicy, I like mine cooked a bit darker, but they were delicious. i also ordered Carrot Cake but they ran out. they called and substituted chocolate cake and I also ordered Tres Leches ,BOTH WERE PERFECT. I'm so happy I tried a new place. Will order again.

The chicken empanadas are absolutely delicious with sour cream. Lots of tasty chicken inside. They could have been a touch darker as far as the shell but the shell was well cooked and crispy. the plantains were absolutely luxurious. soft and creamy and so tasty. I will definitely order from here again.

The food is fresh, has great flavor and is clearly made with love. Everything I have gotten here has been great with generous portions including the Birrito Grande, plantains, and meat with rice and beans. The potato salad is excellent. Would highly recommend trying Barbara's cafe. It tastes like home made cooking!

Barbara's Cafe is my new favorite spot. I'm literally telling everyone I know about this amazing #13 Cuban Sandwich. Also the #14 Burrito Grande. So good 😋 And you can tell they make everything with love and a generous amount of fresh ingredients.
