This place used to be stellar and my go too. However after today's order, I won't likely be back for quite some time, if ever.
They took my money and did not give me what I ordered. Don't know if the cook or cooks are new...or if the restaurant owner/manager is skimping, deliberately, on product and, product quality.
I ordered "SHRIMP" Egg Foo Young, and was given one (1) small shrimp....in two of the three patties, and, two small in the last remaining patty.
SHRIMP Egg Foo Young costs more than plain egg foo young....and I paid for SHRIMP Egg Foo Young.
Yet, I Did Not receive what I paid for ...in more quantity than One or Two shrimp per patty. So very experience overall...disappointing and frustrating.
Especially because of the high price-point.
There should have been at east 6 to 8 shrimp put into each of the three patties (they are small), as this is how I have received the order in the past. And, I've ordered this morning than once.
In addition, the Shrimp Egg Foo Young was packaged poorly as too much of the gravy came out of the container, and spilled onto the bottom of the cardboard in the inside of the bag, covering the forks and spoons at the bottom of the bag.
I also ordered the Egg Drop Soup (which was cold) & the Hot & Sour Soup, which was hot temperature wise upon arrival, but lacked substance.
Their hot & sour soup was very skimpy on ingredients; hardly any tofu, no Wood Ear mushrooms, nor any button mushrooms, no carrot, etc.
The hot & sour soup only contained a few chopped onions, green pepper pieces and a few tofu pieces. It was NOT their usual full-bodied, top quality, hot & sour soup. So disappointing.
I ordered four Spring Rolls too, and they were quite oily, indicating they were left sitting in oil for far too long ....and not drained properly. The wontons that come with the soups were also extremely oily and not good quality.
This is one of the worst experiences and most unfulfilling restaurant experience I've encountered to present. And, restaurants like this should be more responsible and detail-oriented, in order to give people exactly what they are ordering, and in an overall improved and much more consistent basis.
I do hope they improve and treat customers the way they would like to be treated....fairly and with thoughtful consideration of all details of customer service, including improved food preparation, and improved packaging of finished product. Thank you.
