Well... this was an adventure.
Our workplace brought lunch in for everyone today. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything a vegetarian could eat, so after everyone else had already gotten their food, I ordered myself a Chipotle veggie bowl.
I was starving after working all morning, so I was pretty excited when it finally arrived.
Then I opened it.
I've heard of deconstructed bowls, but this one was more like "rice and beans have left the chat."
Inside was:
* A mountain of queso.
* Enough guacamole to renovate a small avocado farm.
* Fire sauce that could probably strip paint.
* A sprinkle of veggies.
* Almost no rice.
* Barely any beans.
As a vegetarian... the rice and beans are kind of the important part.
The entire thing was maybe a quarter full and somehow managed to be equal parts soup and lava. I honestly tried to eat it, but it was so ridiculously spicy that after a few bites I gave up.
This is actually why I stopped ordering from the Chipotle near my house. I thought maybe I'd just had bad luck before, but apparently "goop with a side of regret" is the current recipe.
So after watching everyone else enjoy lunch, my $20 "veggie bowl" is headed straight for the trash, and I'm still hoping whatever is being provided for dinner has something I can actually eat.
Thanks for the $20 lesson that apparently "veggie bowl" now means "good luck."

Large Chips & Large Queso Blanco total waste of money.. almost 11.00 for a semi larger size than a kids bag with 5 chips. Burritos...we ordered3 were smaller and the steak was chewy. Will try again but really disappointed from even a few months ago.

Burrito barely had any meat, 80% rice. Tortilla was ripped. Horrible burrito, especially for the price. don't order from this place.

Burrito was wrapped horrible, and super small about half the size of a normal burrito they barely put any ingredients like queso blanco that I paid extra for. I will never order from here again

The chips were clearly stale and were not fresh. The quesadilla was good but not fully filled it was a folded tortilla with half filled. It's a hard understanding how the Quesadilla is more expensive than the burrito bowl which has more ingredients.
