the SUPER QUESADILLA is AMAZING. i added mushrooms and spinach, and yum! generous helpings of cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream, too! we also got the CHIPS, SALSAS & GUAC. fresh, homemade chips, just enough salt. and three fabulous dips. this place is my new forever home!

Absolutely love Comal Next Door. From the BEEF BURRITO to their CHORIZO, POTATO & EGG BOWL we've never had a bad meal. Everything is fresh and portions are filling. They also have the best CHIPS & SALSAS. It's our go to for ordering.

BAJA STYLE FISH TACO is a total miss.
1. these are tiny tacos with almost no fish
2. tortillas are super dry
3. tacos don't have anywhere near enough sauce
4. they only give you a single small lime wedge for your entire order ( 3 tacos ) which is not nearly enough
So you end up choking it down and the flavor is missing.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place rocks! Everything I ordered was delicious and the delivery was excellent. The CARNITAS TACO aroma is wafting through the room!!!! Best I have ever had. The guacamole was spot on and the chips were really light and crispy with just the right amount of salt.

The TOFU BOWL is always amazing. The NEXT DOOR SALAD is consistently refreshing - simple, bright, and lovely. Delicious GRILLED ELOTE... and we tried the BEAN & CHEESE BURRITO which got rave reviews in our house. Comal is a beautiful indulgence for a jaunt up to Berkeley and Comal Nect Door has been such a welcome addition to Oakland!!!
