I've had the Tonkatsu at other Japanese restaurants and was disappointed as it ws thin and dry. At Daruma it was a nice thick, juicy piece of pork fried to perfection. It came with Tonkatsu sauce with a good dollop of Japanese mustard. I was pleased that there was a huge pile of crispy, thinly shredded cabbage with a little Kewpie Mayo. Will definitely order again.

Tori Nanban Lunch was blubbery and wet rather than crispy. If you like your deep fried meat to be crispy, stick with the tonkatsu instead. Beef Croquette and Japanese Spaghetti, with Egg are delicious, but the Beef Croquette is outrageously overpriced, almost the same price as the spaghetti for 2 small croquettes that are 98% potatoes (you can't even taste the beef)

pork tenkosu was cold and very fatty. the Chicken Karaage was fatty and super greasy. tuna roll wasn't even fully closed.

this place is a hidden gem! I'm glad that I did pickup. place is super cool. I'll be eating here alot in the future.

I had been wanting to try Daruma for a very long time. Regret it took so long after finally enjoying it. The sashimi dinner was amazing.
