Everything was delicious, but spice levels on Gobi 555 and Chicken Tikka Masala were pretty hot considering we ordered mild. Onion Samosa was great, as was Tandoori Roti. Portions were just right, fresh even though I picked up a little late. Everything packaged nicely. Would order again when I'm back in the area.

The best Hyd Goat Dum Biryani ever had in my life, highly recommend to experience a perfect hyderabadi biryani, loved the aroma and texture by unboxing itself and every bite takes you to the heaven, perfect packet and good enough for a perfect meal.

The Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, and DT Spl Chicken Curry were awesome! So flavorful. I never tried the Malai Kofta before so that was new. I'd probably skip it next time. My favorite was definitely the Chicken Tikka Masala and I prefer the garlic Naan over the rosemary but both were tasty. I will definitely order again. We ordered a big portion for my big family of 6 (with 3 teenagers) and still had some leftover. My only issue with the portions were the naan. We got 3 orders and had to split it so I would recommend getting more. Overall the food was delicious although a little pricey. If it's that good when delivered I imagine it's phenomenal inside.

One good thing Desi Tavern does is include a *small* serving of rice with its curries. They should indicate that on their menu.
But I agree with others who have critiqued portion size, especially for take-out/delivery app orders. I believe that DT serves its curries in 16 oz containers — a size I associate with sides/apps rather than entrees when ordering Indian food. I was able to order their Chicken Tikka Masala on a BOGO promotion so I received 32 oz — and I still think that portion was not a good value for the price, especially considering the protein in the curry was chicken.
I have paid far more for curries, but I also enjoyed those curries more than I did Desi Taverns.
I also ordered the DT Tandori Chicken Wings which are pictured on Door Dash as sauced, or at least glistening, whole wings. Instead of whole wings, I received drums and flats coated in a heavy dose of dry spices, far thicker than a rub — and again I perceive of the portion size as an appetizer, rather than s Tandori entree.
The food was *okay* but I think there better options for taste/flavor, value & satisfaction
