We love el matador! The food is consistently delicious and you get plenty of it! We order all sorts of things on the menu and have not had a bad meal in over 20 years of eating here. The food always comes hot and fresh! They make the best everything but we really love their enchiladas, shredded braised meats. Soups, and salsa.

For food 100% delicious, El Matador is my favorite place.
The De Lux Tostada is amazing!, so full of flavor yet not heavy.
The sope is authentic and delicious, I usually order the shredded beef because it's my favorite.

Love their tacos. Salsa terrific, spicy. Cheese dip is ok. But they are CHEAP. We ordered Queso Dip, which cost $10, and only got a very tiny bag of chips, not even enough for half of the dip. We also paid 2.15 for extra Salsa Homemade, but unable to use it, because no chips came with that. For extra salsa (2 total) and a dip, one tiny token bag of chips! Chips are very very inexpensive for them! Got less than a basket you would receive in restaurant.

The broth itself had a delicious flavor, but the albóndigas were lacking seasoning and tasted a bit bland — some garlic or additional spices could have made a big difference. The packaging was also disappointing. Instead of a generous serving of soup, I received two oversized meatballs and half a potato in a small amount of broth. Since the broth is what really brings out the flavor of the albóndigas, the shortage made the dish less enjoyable. I’ve had this soup at the restaurant before and enjoyed it, but based on this takeout experience, I’m not sure I’d order it again.

I ordered a chicken chimichanga, but when my order got here through DoorDash, it was beef which I cannot eat so I just wasted $32 on a dinner I cannot eat. I have to say that I love their chicken chimichanga and I've had it multiple times in the past. My only problem is that this one was not chicken as I requested which was a total waste for me.
