Other taco places have birria tacos around here, but after trying from them, safe to say that El Taco Bar in Closter has the best. Perfectly seasoned and tender meat, slightly crispy soft corn tortillas, delicious consommé. And the nachos! Most places they get soggy from all the toppings, but not here. Our go to taco joint.

Very dry and flavorless Birria. The consommé is also flavorless and watery. Was expecting red & green sauce but there is none, only an orange mayo-like sauce. There are carrots in the nachos. Why? The birria burrito was skinny and dry. Did not taste good or authentic at all.

Loaded Nachos
I've ordered the Loaded Nachos twice before with Steak and with Chicken, both times being very good. However today i tried their MOST expensive option, the shrimp. To my surprise, they only give you FIVE shrimp for a ridiculous surcharge of $3.85. This came as a great surprise considering the steak and chicken options give you plenty more of the protein for a lot less money. Very Disappointed!

Three taco orders smothered in red sauce and a green sauce and not listed in description. If you don't want that, next time I would add "no sauce" to the special requests. Food is pretty good, but would have preferred no sauces. Corn is tasty. Ample amount of chips for Chips & Guacamole.

Asada (Steak) Taco were great.
