It's rare to find a restaurant that provides value when ordering soup for delivery. Usually the soup, noodles, meet and other add-ons are all stuffed into a single 32 oz container. Even when ordering extra noodles meat, they rarely get packaged separately which means you pay extra for the same size as a regular. Genes Chinese Flatbread Cafe was the opposite, providing the soup, meat and veggies in a large plastic takeout container, plus the noodles on the side. I felt like I actually got what I paid for and the food was delicious. 5 stars!

Gene's is so consistently good, and definitely one of my go-to places for comfort food. This is my first time trying the #5 House Noodle Soup 哨子面 - awesome blend of savory with mild spice, and the touch of vinegar is perfect. Also try #2 - it's my fave!

The #16 Hot sour hand-pulled noodle soup 酸汤扯面 is my absolute favorite meal for a cold day or when I need a home-cooked meal. The lamb is also great. Love this place and am so grateful they were open regular hours on Christmas Eve!

This soup tasted alright but nothing I feel compelled to order again. I ordered half spice #10 Hot Sour Dumpling Soup 酸汤水饺 and couldn't taste much spice at all. Sadly, my soup was half spilled in the plastic bag it was delivered in, so packaging is an issue the owner should reconsider. maybe wrap the soup container in some saran wrap to prevent spills.
