Our dream started in Venezuela where we opened the first of our four stores called, Mazal Gourmet. The stores were named to honor our dear mother. Her name was Mazal, which means, "luck". However, the…
Gustos Gourmet is the best Venezuelan place around Houston. Amazing food and customer service. I ALWAYS get the #7 cachapa, it is delicious and extremely filling. You won't be hungry for hours! Great to fuel your work day during lunch. I will always be a customer! Dont change!

The 8. Pabellon arepa was stuffed and flavorful. It was also very drippy but in a good way. The #4 Venezuelan Cheese & Black Beans cachapa was huge and a little sweeter than expected, but it was also rich and filling.

I was excited about the Pabellón plated, ended up disappointed. The rice portion was small, and the rice was crusted. Plate was cold when I got it like they had just reheated before sending out. The plantains were crudo. Not enough seasoning. They forgot the arepa portion too. Overpriced.

The coffee was trash. The description on the menu said its Venezuelan style but I received is so bland. From my understanding, Venezuelan coffee comes with cinnamon. You're much better off going to Paselitos Cafe for food and coffee! My pelua arepa arrived soggy and the arepa was falling apart.

The carne mechada was the only thing we liked. It was seasoned well, but the beans were very plain almost like they were straight from the can. The cachapa had a corn bread texture and was a little dry. Not bad enough where you couldnt eat it but definitely not worth the price.
