When we ordered, we didn't realize it was the former Hubcap Grill. The burgers have always been tasty since we went to Hubcap's soft opening on Strand many years ago. The realization came today when we opened our boxes of fries. We immediately said, they look like Hubcap's! Giveaway - dark brown color, usually due to older frying oil. Our burgers were good, we'll try reheating the fries in the oven with cheese, etc for leftovers later. Oh, well. But the burgers are good and a good value! I ordered mine medium well, my husband's medium - they were marked on the box, but the cook on the patties was identical lol. We'll still consider ordering again, quick delivery and good burgers.

I miss the former owner...Hub Cap has definitely gone downhill , it used to be the best burger on the island, now it's not even on par with fast food as far as quality and service. I read all the negative recent reviews and STILL gave it a shot. Food gets here and no fries which I paid $5 for...just doesn't seem that difficult to remember to put fries in the bag.

Myself and co-workers ordered several things. I had the Texas Deep Fried Catfish Basket with fries The catfish was crispy outside and nice and tender inside. It was great! The fries were dark like they have been soaking in oil or lard all day and very tasteless and not a bit fried. I also ordered a Texas Loaded Baked Potato It was hard like it had not been baked enough. My co-workers also had a problem with their fries. Considering there were 4 servings of potatoes in our order, to not enjoy them is not commendable. The service was wonderful, however! I asked for extra butter and tartar sauce, along with ketsup. They sent napkins and cutlery. For the fish, I would rate this a 5 star, but unfortunately anything potato was not very edible.

The bbq brisket burger was NOTHING like was advertised. I could tell the burger patty was frozen 2 minutes before it hit the grill and the brisket wasn't a chopped bbq brisket, it was more like a cubed brisket sandwich. Is that even a thing? Would not recommend this burger. Unfortunately it didn't even have a good flavor to it. Not recommended
