I had a craving for Ike's, ordered the Pee Wee with veggie turkey and veggie bacon on Dutch Crunch and it was all I hoped for. Ate 3/4 and will have rest tomorrow.
I discovered Ike's about 10 yrs ago in East Bay. What I love is like "who decided what can go on a sandwich and that there can only be 5 kinds?" In their shops their sandwich board has SO many varieties and (best) you can make any vegetarian using veggie turkey, veggie bacon etc. It's ridiculous that veggie sandwiches are often cream cheese and cucumber, when there have been great plant based proteins forever. and we still want all the toppings.
Their Door Dash menu is similarly great with many veggie or vegan options in own section. Pee Wee came with veg turkey, Swiss, cabbage, dressings but you can add many other items for free (onions, tomatoes, pickles, more) and I added veggie bacon.
Fun vibe with names of sandwiches and free green apple lolly with caramel filling.
With Dash Pass price is less decadent and I usually have leftovers.

Holy smokes, these sandwiches are heaven! The 34. THE HUNTER PENCE was fire! The 150. DIRTY REUBEN was beautifully and perfectly made! And the 2. HOLLYWOULD'S SF CHEESESTEAK was scrumptious! 13/10 recommend!

Not much meat, bread not the freshest, lots of lettuce. Rushed. Price for sandwiche was over 32 with DoorDash charges. If upcharging for price, should be quality, it was not

Usually a hit, but today was a miss. :( maybe it's because we ordered something other than our usual, or maybe they were having an off day. but both sandwiches, the 2. HOLLYWOULD'S SF CHEESESTEAK and the we're 99. WE'RE JUST FRIENDS we're mainly bread. I'm used to generous meat portions and enjoying that juicy chicken, and I didn't get that today. The steak was also super dry and chewy.. barely any cheese on the cheesesteak. it was just a disappointing day. still love you guys, and hopefully next time is much better!

Just ate half the 34. HUNTER PENCE and man I'm full looked small at first but man are these sandwiches packed with flavor and stuffed with ingredients definitely made a good first impression will be ordering again!!
