Lao Sze Chuan has quickly become our favorite spot for Chinese food—both for takeout and dining in! Everything we've tried tastes incredibly fresh, & clearly made with high-quality ingredients that set it apart from other local places. Even dishes considered "basic," like my chicken lo mein, are outstanding —flavorful, fresh, and not at all oily/greasy like I've experienced almost everywhere else. The pork fried dumplings are another must-order; they're obviously house-made and absolutely delicious. My husband has a favorite (ordered twice already!) the Kung Pao Beef Tenderloin -he even remarked on how fresh the fortune cookies tasted! Ha! Portions are generous, leaving plenty for leftovers, and our orders have always been accurate and complete. Yes, it's pricier than typical Chinese takeout, but the quality makes every penny worth it. Highly recommend!

The most AUTHENTIC Sichuan I've ever had in USA.
Double Cooked Pork 经典回锅肉 is salty, savory, and spicy with a strong fermented black bean flavor the way it's made in Chongqing. I got "Add More Spice" and they DELIVERED.
The Hot & Spicy Stir Fried Shredded Potato 香辣土豆丝 is also just like Chengdu flavor!

Three cup chicken with basil was all breading and v little chicken, over fried and DRY.

The food was mediocre at best. General Tsos Chicken 左宗鸡 and Sesame Chicken 芝麻鸡 tasted exactly the same, no depth and hardly any veggies. Granted it was takeout, but the chiken bite was nothing different than all the other Chinese food places--not impressed, especially, for the price. Scallion Pancake 葱油饼 was decent, something different for the palate. Not sure if I would give it another try due to the price unless I try something veggie or seafood and dine in only.

Basic. It honestly was VERY mid and completely lacking in flavor. I have had much better for much less $$. Would def skip. Shoot even the dumplings from trader joes are better.
