If you’re looking for something different and unforgettable to door dash, you have to try The Lunchbox, tucked inside the historic Lexington restaurant The Ketch. I had never tried it before, but I wanted to break out of my usual routine—and wow, am I glad I did! This is hands-down one of the best door dash lunch options in Lexington. It's convenient to campus on Southland Drive if you want to pick up your door dash order, or simply have it delivered.
The food quality and preparation is phenomenal—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly prepared. I ordered the Bento box 4, Shrimp Shumai Dumplings, and Spring Rolls, and every bite was a flavor explosion. The Bento was beautifully balanced, perfect shrimp tacos, rice, and sauces, the dumplings were tender and savory, and the spring rolls were crisp perfection. The portion sizes are generous, making this an incredible value for the price.
And then there’s the FREAKING BREAD PUDDING WITH BOURBON SAUCE—it’s literally to die for. I took one bite and I'm hooked. Smooth, rich, and indulgent, it’s the kind of dessert that makes you want to order again tomorrow. If you love unique KENTUCKY desserts, this is a must-try.
They offer a few lunch options and appetizers and what I ordered felt more like a full culinary experience, not just a quick bite. I didn't try the sushi rolls they offer just yet, but there were tons of options for those too, and when I'm in the mood for sushi you best bet I'm going to door dash the Lunchbox simply because I know it will be amazing based on the lunch and appetizer options I chose! Whether you’re craving Asian fusion flavors, Bento boxes, or simply want the best lunch door dash in Lexington, this is it. This is the place! It’s a hidden gem providing door dash service from inside The Ketch, blending tradition with bold, modern flavors. Treat yourself!
