I got the Gombo it was Delicious homemade Gombo (Gumbo) done right. I felt like I was eating at my Grandmother's house. Big portions and I'm coming back for more very soon. Perfect food for this Cold Weather today.

I ordered the Fried Tilapia with plantains, but I guess they were out of plantains because I received rice and sweet potato fries instead. What a sumptuous meal! Everything was delicious, and great portions for the price. Highly recommend!

Great flavor plantains are not greasy and and great combo to the fish. The fish is super flavorful wish it was spicy but a tomatoe based is good as well.

Mama Malewa is a hidden gem serving up delicious Congolese cuisine. The flavors are authentic and the dishes are made with love. The cook is so friendly whenI called. I highly recommend trying their beef stew, Fried Tilapia and Soso Peanut Butter !! it's a must-try! Can't wait to go back for more.

The portion was big , but that's about it. The rice was soggy, very bland, and tasted like canned tomato paste with canned vegetables in it. They also included a random fish with my order that I did not order. I'm sure someone would have appreciated that, but not me. It was a bit alarming to open the container to see a dead fish staring back at me.
