Every time I have an “antojito,” a craving for mofongo, I hit up Mecho’s. I’ve had a lot of different mofongo dishes from various restaurants in the region, but Mecho’s is by far the most flavorful! And their Bandera plate always lasts for two meals. Love this spot!

Way too much plantains and barely any meat. I ordered the 2 meat Chicken Bandera and Goat Bandera: chicken and goat. They offered 1 chicken thigh and 2 very small pieces of meat. But I was charged for extra meat. If I hadn't of paid extra they would have given me one piece of chicken. . So they put extra plantains in my plantain so I would think it's chicken.
They're not providing as much as they used to.

The Stewed Beef Bandera is my favorite dish! It doesn't matter where I live in the area, I will always order this dish. I'm still waiting for the cooks to start cooking lessons! Perfect portions. Perfect seasoning every time! Chefs kiss!

The Chicken Bandera and tostones were good. The Beef Empanada needed more filling, they were filled like they should've been little pastelitos. Also the potato salad sides portions were smaller than normal.

Portion is very small. I thought the entire plate would be filled but there was 3 rows of Mofongo and that’s it. I thought there would be friend plantain along with the meal and then the mashed plantain as the mofongo but for $11 that’s not much food. The modongo should have vegetables or something to go along with it if it’s just plain with no meat.
