The Sancocho Meat & Veggie Soup was extremely good & was a huge portion for the money to the point that I got 2 meals out of it. It was extremely flavorful & very good comfort food. The Rice Pudding - Arroz Con Leche was also a decent sized portion & tasty as well. Absolutely a place I'd order from again.

This food made my heart so happy. All of it. Mango Pineapple Smoothie / Mango Y Pina with almond milk was incredible and not too sweet... Los Tres Golpes! - Build Your DR Breakfast had hearty flavorful portions of mongu, meat, cheese, and egg I selected with the pickled purple onions... OMG! And the cheese Empanada\Pastellito 1 left me eagerly looking forward to trying the other fillings. My picture only shows what was left of the empanada and smoothie by the time I figured I should stop to leave a review with a picture. I had to break out my own knife and fork cause this food is serious. LOVED this!

Here’s a more natural and balanced version of your review:
I ordered La Bandera with fried pork chop, and I was a little disappointed. The meal only came with one piece of pork, and it wasn’t a regular fried pork chop—it was a smoked pork chop. The menu didn’t mention that it was smoked, so it wasn’t what I expected.
I also ordered four empanadas. They were a little greasy, but they tasted really good. I tried a slice of cake as well. It wasn’t bad, but it was a little dry, and I don’t think the small portion was worth $6.
Other than that, the food had great flavor and tasted authentic. In my opinion, this is the best Dominican food in Columbus, Ohio. I would definitely come back, but I hope they improve the portion size and make the menu description clearer.

The uncrustable was super small for $9. I thought it was 2, but it was only one. The 4 empanadas were good and packed with flavor and meat.

there was very little ham and cheese in the empanadas, and no seasoning. the beef empanadas was just a bland taste with not a lick of seasoning. just ground beef that's it. the two sweet pies I got was half the size of the empanadas and they were just okay. the Apple needed some cinnamon, caramel and allspice maybe and peanut butter and jelly needed to be strawberry something better than it was.
