This was my first time trying Playa Bowls. The Tidal Wav Smoothie 20oz was pretty good. Definitely not too sweet, but still tasty.

I've been to several Playa Bowls locations and have always loved them, but my experience at the Oceanside store was a real letdown. My bowl came out about half empty, with what looked like a single spoonful of acai at the bottom and the rest packed with granola. For the price, that's not what you expect when you order an acai bowl.
When I asked about it, I was told they weigh their acai. That might be true, but I've never been served this little at any other Playa Bowls, so either the weighing isn't consistent across stores or something is off at this location. The acai is the whole point of the bowl, and filling the space with granola instead feels like cutting corners.
I hope management looks into portioning here, because the Oceanside store isn't living up to the standard I've come to expect from the brand. Until then, I'll be driving to a different location.

There was chunks of banana and the smoothie was overly thick to wear it was not so drinkable. I love the flavor and when I go in person the smoothies are blended and made with care. Everytime I order there's something wrong with the smoothie.
