My favorite Veggie Burrito in downtown San Diego. I like to add sour cream. And always request Green Salsa and Pokez Salsa. Portion is large, consistent, and tastes delish!

The prices are fair, and the food is sooo good....when I get what I actually ordered. Right now, I'm only 1/3 in the last month. I clearly note vegan and no cheese on all the dishes ordered, yet get cheese on half my food. Maybe I'll try on a weekday and see if there's any better attention to details. Tofu and Mushroom Enchiladas (2) is my current fave, the sauce is so good and I would bet made in house. My daughter gets the Vegan Carne Asada Beyond Nachos or Fries.

First, I used to eat at Pokez back in the day. Hell, I remember it opening in the mid-90s, and the food used to be exceptional.
I was feeling hungry and nostalgic, so I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito and Fries. The Carne Asada Burrito was bland, with no salt or any other seasoning. The sour cream was the only thing giving it some flavor.
The fries were decent, and I had to add salt to taste. I didn't even get any salsa with my Carne Asada Burrito, which always used to come with a meal.
It’s just sad that the taste and consistency of the food has diminished so much. I'm sorry, but I won't be ordering from here again.

The Cabbage Salad is crunchy and fresh! Delicious side to the Tofu, Potato, and Mushroom Burrito - yum!!!

This place is usually great but lately the pollo asado has been "woody". Rubbery flakey and gross, please fix this cause it's usually awesome and large portions.
