portillos did a great job this time. the Italian Beef Sandwich was full, good proportions of toppings, sides of au jus were full and hot. plenty of fries for the Cheese Fries but they forgot the cheese, which sucked because DD made the driver drive around unnecessarily with my order until it got cold, so cheese sauce would've made the cold fries easier to eat (he literally passed my house to drive elsewhere first, but not his fault). If not for DD and the forgotten cheese, would have been perfect.

Listen. I don't know who needs to hear this, but Portillo's is some really good ish.
Italian beef? So good! Combo? Heck yeah! Gimmie that sausage. Hot peppers and mozz.
Cheese fries? Yes please! Only way I'll eat those potato-y nightmares.
Portion sizes are good! And the freshness is pretty consistent, always arrives hot.
Portillo's prices are a bit much, but when you consider the quality of the food, this is a place you always come back to.

Portillos Italian beef sandwiches are one of my favorites from their restaurant and is just so tasty and perfectly seasoned. The bread for this sandwich is always so fresh. I like the way the sandwich was prepared and wrapped. It wasn't sloppy at all. They took the time to wrap my cheese sauce and the beef dipping sauce up in the little containers secured from spillage with aluminum foil. I think that also keeps the sauces warm. Portillos are so thoughtful and go above and beyond for the quality of their service to their customers. I just love them.

I always go to Portillos and love it. I order on here from them sometimes but this time the gravy was like water and flavorless. The "large" fry is a scam. It's just a regular fry in a large container with the cheese sitting in the fry container. You get charged for peppers and cheese for your Italian beef but the amount you get is pathetic. You can count each shred of cheese and every pepper. If they remember to put it on the sandwich that is. They did not read the customized directions either. Honestly I'd just go to get it myself so I can control the quality.

Portillo's is my wife's favorite restaurant. She loves the rib dinners and the fabulous Chocolate Cake. I enjoy the Combo Beef & Char Grilled Italian Sausage and Maxwell Street Polish. A great place for a family get together. I highly recommend this restaurant.
