I love my sweets and I am a big pastry and cakes fan. I have been waiting a very long time to finally try Select Bakery, and finally got the chance. Presentation is great from the boxes they came in to the thoughtfully organized packing so items wouldnt get damaged in travel. But after a bite of almost each item, the sheer sweetness was too much. I needed a glass of water for each bite, it just felt like waaaay too much sugar when there didn't need to be as it drowns out the taste of the other flavours that might be in the cake. Like the strawberry shortcake or Black Forest, the chocolate and vanilla icing is so sweet, it kills the tastes of the fruit .

I didn't get my Spanakopita . The Chocolate Baklava and Coconut Cream Cheese Baklava were both so stale they were inedible. The Ekmek Pudding was good and the Chocolate Cake was edible but nothing to write home about.

Was a little too sweet for me. The tiramisu tasted like the whipped cream had curdled.
