Stick & Steam welcomes you. "What does 'Stick & Steam' even mean?" you might wonder now that you know more about the restaurant's history and inspiration. I'll tell you what happened.
We stumbled upon Stick & Steam while visiting and shopping downtown. We decided to order for delivery and are glad we did. The Dim Sum Samplers and Barbecue Pork Buns were excellent and nice and hot when they arrived.

1. I'm disappointed they put all 3 types of dumplings in the same box even though it was 3 separate orders. Please don't do this! Food allergies are real and I have them, so that was really not cool at all. Luckily I was not allergic to anything in the box, but if I was, this review would be very different. I can appreciate that supplies are expensive, but putting people at risk for cross contamination and allergic reactions is unacceptable. Saving a few dollars on your bottom line is not worth someone's life. 3 separate orders=3 separate boxes.
2. Everything was cold when we got it and was not in reheatable containers which was disappointing as well.
3. the Hainan Chicken Rice | 招牌海南雞飯 was pretty good, but wow is this a small portion. Pork Siu Mai (3) | 豬肉蝦燒賣 was good. Beef Siu Mai | 牛肉燒賣 was good. XLB "Xiao Long Bao" (3) | 原味小籠包was also good. The Sparkling Pink Dreamer (Rose & Lychee) | 粉紅色夢幻 was pretty and tasted good.
Idk if I will order again. 3 orders in 1 box is not ok.

Wonton noodle soup: broth is too salty, not much flavor, shrimp wontons are ok, noodles are kind of dry and not flavorful.
Hainan chicken rice: chicken is great, sauces are good, rice is too sticky and mushy.
Dimsum sampler: okay, not bad not wow

The Fried Bean Curd Roll | 蠔皇鮮竹卷 only has two tiny rolls. The portions are a bit small for $6.
